Michael Taylor | Director
Michael is a director of Tangent Projects Pty Ltd, having worked for around 20 years in property acquisitions, sales and development.
​
Michael has worked in senior roles within large public companies and private firms and has a particular set of skills around the identification, risk management and delivery of development projects.
​
In the last couple of years Michael has spent the majority of his time identifying new development opportunities and managing a portfolio of properties he founded.

Matt Gent | Director

Matt is a director of Tangent Property Group Pty Ltd and is an established commercial lawyer with over 20 years of experience across all areas of commercial law – with particular expertise in property law and business and transactional structuring.​
Matt’s involvement in both the property and legal industries has allowed Matt to develop a unique professional network and knowledge base which Tangent Property Group leverages in all of its dealings.
​Matt is a member of both the Urban Development Institute of Western Australia and the Law Society of Western Australia.

In memory of Tony Mendez

It is with great sadness that we advise that our dear friend and fellow director Tony Mendez passed away in March 2025 following a brave battle with cancer.
Tony had an infectious personality and energy. With Tony, relationships came first. He showed by example the values we hold dear - integrity, respect and humility…along with some great humour. A positive man by nature, we were blown away by his courage and by the “glass half full” outlook that he maintained throughout his battle with cancer. Despite all the turmoil and pain he must have been enduring, he never once complained. We thought to ourselves, if we ever have to experience something as difficult as the challenge Tony faced, may we be graced with the strength to choose the same attitude.
He was perceptive in business and often found easier, less complicated ways to do things. If you needed some help, due to the lasting relationships he made, he always had “a guy.” Whether it be a painter, landscaper, accountant or engineer - he had someone that could sort it out quick smart. He was respected deeply.
Tony left us at only 49 years young. Our hearts go out to his wife Veena, son Rohaan and daughter Zenya along his nearest and dearest friends, over 300 by our count at the funeral – a testament to the man. We will do our very best to carry forward his legacy, living the values he showed us by his great example.
